The
Dental Center has a commitment to provide dental treatment
in a safe environment.
Sterilization: We comply with all American Dental Association
guidelines regarding sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Wherever possible, disposable items are used during your treatment.
Non-disposable instruments are thoroughly cleaned in ultrasonic
cleaners and sterilized in steam or steam/chemical autoclaves
after usage. All of our autoclaves are tested weekly to insure
proper function and their ability to kill all organisms. These
procedures insure your safety from any disease causing organisms.
All
non-removable items in the treatment rooms, countertops, light
handles, x-ray machines, chair, etc., are cleaned and disinfected
after each patient leaves the treatment area. Where possible,
plastic barriers are used in the treatment rooms to further
enable complete cleanliness. These barriers are removed and
replaced for each patient visit.
With proper sterilization procedures and programs such as
the ones used at the Dental Center there is no need to be
concerned about your safety. We care about you and will continue
to provide the newest and best techniques to keep you protected.
X-ray: Our x-ray equipment is monitored for radiation
safety. Properly operating x-ray equipment used in the dental
office exposes a patient to less radiation than normal daily
exposure to sunlight.
