I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
in 1949 but grew up all over the eastern seaboard and west
coast, as my father was a Marine officer. We lived in North
Carolina, two places in Virginia, New Jersey, and two places
in California. I went to three high schools in California
and two Universities. I attended dental school at Creighton
University and graduated in 1976. That was a banner year for
me as I also got married to a native Omaha girl.
My military upbringing got in
my blood and I served in the active Army for 11 years. I spent
a year in Georgia in a General Practice Residency and then
went to Korea for a year. Our next four years had us stationed
in West Germany. It was there that we adopted our oldest daughter,
Courtney. Upon the return to the United States, we moved to
Texas where I spent 2 years learning Oral Surgery. It was
there that we adopted our youngest daughter, Natalie. Our
next and final assignment was in Fort Riley. I left the Army
in 1987 and after much thought we settled on Hutchinson. I
spent the next 15 years in the Army National Guard traveling
throughout the state doing dental work on our troops. I had
a hands on course on Kansas History and Geography. I retired
from the Guard in 2002 but have kept active doing dental exams for them on a contract basis..
I spend my spare time doing things around the house, walking, reading, watching sports on television, and playing golf. Now that our daughters are out of state, we have a lot of time to travel.
I am thoroughly pleased with my
time here in Hutchinson. Having lived all over the world,
I feel qualified to judge the desirability of any part of
the country. We have a treasure here in the Midwest. The people
are friendly and the weather isn't boring. Given a choice
of anywhere to live I think we have it made here. I don't
want to tell too many people, as we don't want to become another
California or Colorado.

Dr. Kurowski's Staff
Staci: I started at the Dental Center in August, 1999. I worked in the hygiene department for 2 years. I am currently working as an assistant for Dr. Kurowski and helping him with National Guard exams on the weekend.
Jenny: I have been with the Dental Center since 1996. Before joining Dr. Kurowski, I worked for Dr. Hollingsworth. I hope our experience can make your visit as problem free as possible.
